Characters in San Benedicto will, sooner or later, come to the realization that something is... wrong.

You live in the canyon. You've ALWAYS lived in the canyon. So why are strange new memories pressing against the inside of your skull, desperate to get out? Isn't there someone you used to be?

Do you even wanna go back to being that person?

The Canyon is a panfandom group PSL centering around Lovecraftian themes of horror, loss of bodily integrity and sanity, and big scary monsters from space. While characters start off as AU versions of themselves, they gradually come to understand that they used to be from another time, another place, another universe. Some may even remember waking up here years ago, in the ruins of an archaeological dig site that is, curiously, no longer being worked on...
